During the discussion on‘Cross-Regional Collaboration on Healthcare Innovation for Health Equity and Accessibility’, policy, academic and industry leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening regulatory cooperation in the APAC region to enhance access to key therapies, improve regional health equity, and creating a more friendly policy environment for healthcare innovations.Guangzhou·The GBA Healthcare Collaborative Development Conference
This is our flagship event in theGBA. The conference invites leaders from the drug regulatory bodies, healthcare and health security administration of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, policy research experts, domestic and international biopharmaceutical and medical device representatives to attend and share. Macao·Beyond Expo
Hosted ‘The GBA Health ServiceSystem Innovation Forum’ focusing on the high-quality development of the health system, regulatory innovation and co-operation, and innovation and development of a multi-level medical security system. The forum invited leaders from Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, Pharmaceutical Administration, Macao government, and leaders from ‘The HMMEC’ designated hospitals, policy research experts, representatives of domestic and foreign biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, etc.

Beijing· AHA-WEF Closed-door Event
- In August 2023, AHA and WEFjointly held a closed-door meeting on “Better Climate, Better Health"in Beijing. The event invited morethan 60 experts from the fields of health, climate change, and technology to discuss the impact of climate change on health among Chinese people and the medical system, existing explorations, and challenges in practice.
- During the discussion, theparticipants put forward a series of suggestions for China to better cope with climate and health challenges, covering top-level design, technological innovation, public communication, etc. The seminar laid animportant foundation for promoting relevant parties to cooperate in the design and implementation of climate-health solutions.
Thailand· PMAC2024Side Meeting
In January 2024, with the supportfrom The Rockefeller Foundation, AHA successfully held a side meeting on “Leveraging Data-Driven Solutionsfor Climate-Resilient Health: A China Case Study”during the Prince Mahidol Award Conference (PMAC) in Bangkok. The event brought together leaders from academia, science and technology, healthcare, and philanthropy sectors to discuss China’s innovations in this topic area, challenges in implementing and scaling these innovations, and potential pathways and opportunities for collaboration within and beyond China. During this event, the report LeveragingData-Driven Solutions inConfronting Climate-SensitiveDiseases: China Case Study was released.
Singapore· APACLIFE 2024
- In November 2024, during the APACHealth and Life Sciences Summit, an annual conference held in Singapore, AHA held a half-day seminar on the theme of "Creatinga Climate-Resilient Future for Asia”,with the support from the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices.
- More than 30 leading experts frominternational organizations, academia, tech sector, pharmaceutical companies, and investment institutions discussed the impact of climate change on health and the pathways to decarbonize healthcare. Through multiple roundtable discussions, the guests shared a variety of innovative solutions and practical experiences.

Beijing-Hong Kong Jockey Club Closed-door luncheon on AI for Health (January 2024)
With the support of the Institute of Philanthropy (IoP) of Hong Kong Jockey Club and WEF, AHA organized a closed-door luncheon on “Digital Innovation and AI Integration in Healthcare” in Beijing. The event brought together 30+ leaders from intergovernmental organizations, philanthropic foundations, academia, and the private sector to discuss the value and challenges of AI and other emerging technologies for health system transformation and to explore opportunities for future collaborations.
Thailand-PMAC2025 (January 2025)
During PMAC2025, AHA participated in a side meeting co-organized by IoP and the United Nations Development Programme as a strategic partner. The participating guests presented cases and practical experience of innovative technologies in the prevention and management of NCDs and explored the financing strategies and potential cooperation opportunities. During the event, AHA officially released the report Philanthropy as a Catalyst of Digital Technology for Better Healthcare: From China to the World, which was completed in collaboration of IoP.

Themed Events
Each year, we collaborate with CMEF* to organize Smart Aging Innovation focused Forum, discussing topics from smart aging, digital health, med-finance, urban health. We gather industry associations, government think tanks, academic institutions, innovative enterprises to join us for a full-day of dialogues, sharing various insights, enhancing opportunities for cross industry exchange and collaborations.
Project Roadshows
Periodical roadshows are held for innovative enterprises to showcase their work. We invited representatives from academic institutions, investment firms, and enterprises, at home and abroad, to participate in the events, increasing opportunities for investment, collaboration, and industry integration.
Annual Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competitions
Over the years, we have supported an annual national competition on technology and service innovation for the elderly. The competitions are jointly held with leading universities. To-date, ~500 innovative projects participated, ~80% of the projects have been awarded, receiving tens of millions (RMB) in funding, and are highly recognized by the government.
